The first picture, are quilts that just need labels and the other pictures are quilts that need to be quilted yet.

All together I think there’s 12 or 14 quilts here.  I have several I need to finish sewing together yet too.

Quilts for the Nursery at Church

Well, I’m at work so I can’t pull up any pictures to post but I can do that when I get home later.  I’m making  much needed quilts for the nursery here at church.  I’ve got about 14 or more ready to quilt and just finished the second one.  So hopefully this week end I’ll be able to quilt several and then I can sit back and stitch the binding on when I’m here.  (In between work that is.)  When I get home today I’ll try to remember to take some pictures, thinking of it and doing it are two different things.  I think about it here but when I get home I tend to forget, so I just wrote myself a little note.

I’m also on a Yahoo group that has been making hearts to swap.  What we do is, each month everyone makes one heart and then there is a name drawn to see who gets them that month.    Of course then that name is taken out of the drawing and she draws the next winner.  This month Rose Anne won the hearts so she will pick next months winner.  Pretty cool huh?  We’re going to do a second round of it, so we’ll all have enough to make a wall hanging or something we’d like to do with them.

Ok, it’s back to work, so I’ve written myself a note to take pictures when I get home.

Working on two quilts today

This is the HST baby quiilt.  It’s larger than a baby quilt, but smaller than a comfort quilt.   A little bigger I think than a lap quilt.  It’s one of two I’ve worked on today for the church nursery.    I’ll be making them till I run out of fabric for kids, which will be quite a while.   I have another ready for borders too, it’s a rail fence.  These are some I’ve had cut out for a while, so they’re fast and easy one’s so I can get them done quickly.

Tops For The Girls and Baby are Done! yahooo

I finally got the quilt tops done for my dear friends son’s girlfriends two daughters. lol  I also got the two done for my daughters fiance’s two daughters.  Two are for Easter gifts and the other two will be given to them at a baby shower to be held at the end of next month.  There are two of the top one, that’s the top and the fabrics in the top.  There are also two of the second one and that’s the top and the fabric’s in the top.  The bottom one is a wonky one for the young girl who is 12.  I don’t think she would have appreciated the kiddy fabric.   I’ve also got two more going that are large baby quilts.  These were quick one’s to do because I don’t have a lot of time to get them done in.  I hope to start quilting them tomorrow or by the week end at the latest.

whooohooo got the quilt finished. I used some of the treatment for thread? It really worked, it stopped the thread from breaking and I was able to finish it up. This is the back. Wild huh? lol too much fun!

Almost done Quilting

This is a quilt that I started so many years ago I don’t even want to count them! lol I finally found some backing for it and started quilting it. Unfortunatley it was one of the first I ever made so it has some rather bulky corners in the sewing:( So each time I hit one of those spots the thread breaks. I’m trying to quilt around those corners, but now and then I hit one and I start all over. So this is definitely a challenge in patience. lol

Jeanette’s Baby Quilt Is Done

Here’s the baby quilt I’ve been working on for a very dear friend in the Bay Area. She’s going to the shower the week of the 20th so it’s ready to go in the mail to her. For as simple and easy a pattern as this is, it has been a real challenge for a number of reasons! lol Hope you like it Jeanette.
